It is true that some may be born with leadership qualities. While it helps if one is born in a wealthy family, but one can still become affluent through his efforts. Similarly, aspiring leaders can work on their attitudes and gain knowledge to be successful leader.
Maya Rao
Youth AmbassadorMaya is the founder of "She Dreams" - a nonprofit initiative launched in 2018 when she was in middle school. She Dreams strives to bring education to disadvantaged girls. Having benefited from the power of learning, she wanted everyone, who is more fortunate to share and further the power of learning. She Dreams supports our "Read2Lead" program in setting up of school libraries meant for underprivileged children.
Siri Bompelli
Youth AmbassadorSiri is an 8th Grader middle school student based in Dover, NH, USA. During her recent visit to India in 2018, she has witnessed the rural villages, poverty conditions of families, malnutrition and poor quality of education. Since then she has decided to do something for the rural children. Siri is closely mentoring a group of children to develop reading habits, engages them with storytelling sessions and group discussions. She introduced the Reading Buddy Program - collectively reading a book and exchanging the perspectives with a small group. She also mentors underprivileged children with enrichment sessions during weekends. Read2Lead Program is one of her favourite initiatives at Krishi, so she raised funds to set up school libraries in India.
